We can’t get over her. And I hope that we never do or try to. She is so much fun, such a joy, and some days I am completely overwhelmed and even moved to tears by her cuteness! I can’t get over the fact that God chose us to be her parents. And while not every day is full of smiles and perfection, being her parents is one of the most amazing things we’ve ever done.
She turned 4 months old yesterday and this journey keeps getting better and better! Her hands and feet are constant sources of entertainment and while her hands seem to be in her mouth most of the time, she’s this close to figuring out her feet can reach her mouth too! She’s rolled over a couple of times, but nothing consistent yet. She “talks” (a lot!) and has also discovered that she can make a squealing noise that she likes to hear. She can hold her head up, but HATES tummy time with a passion. She loves sitting up and facing out when in your lap so that she can see everything that’s going on and when she gets upset or is tired, all we have to do is a shallow squat (no need to get parallel!) and she calms down. That’s my crossift baby for you ;-)
This isn’t an official session by any means, but I’ve been trying to pull out my camera for normal every day things to capture life as it’s happening. And there’s nothing more “every day” than Catherine sitting in her MamaRoo and giving me every facial expression she can!
This one? Oh my heavens… It actually brought tears to my eyes with her cuteness!
And then she got bored with me.
And then she got upset…
And 5 seconds later (according to the clock on my camera), she was fine.
That’s our daughter for you ;-)
