The New Mrs. | Furman University Wedding Photographer

Exactly six months after Ben and I said, “I do”, we found ourselves back in the same church at Grace Church Downtown but this time, we had cameras in both of our hands as we had the honor of capturing Mandy & Kevin as they said, “I do.”  Until a blog post of those images are ready, I’m SO EXCITED that I finally get to share Mandy’s bridal portraits with you!  We met out at Furman University one overcast afternoon hoping that the sky would stay as it was.  By the end of the session, the sun even started to peek out!  Mandy, I’ve said it each time we’ve met for pictures this year… you’re just gorgeous.  I hope your first few days of being Mrs. Bagwell (as you’re on a beach in Hawaii!) have been nothing short of wonderful.

Much love,

I just loved her shoes!!

And the flowers…

And then we had a guest join the session :-)  Dixie was the perfect model!

Most of you know that I’m not really a dog person… but would you look at that face?!?  Sometimes their cuteness is enough to win me over.

Mandy!  Girl!  You are stunning.

And by the time we were finishing up, the sun came out.

And that sun gave us some gorgeous backlit portraits.

SO excited to end on these two… just gorgeous!!

You did an amazing job at the wedding. I can’t wait to see all the pictures.

Janet + Andrew | Greenville Wedding Photographer

Rain was threatening and the sun was peeking in and out from behind the clouds. But when Janet walked in a few hours before walking down the aisle, she was radiating joy and daring the sky to open up with rain.  Janet was so excited and so calm that it was easy to see nothing was going to ruin this day.

When Andrew arrived with his brother for pictures, he was calm, cool, and completely collected.  He had been looking forward to this day just as much as Janet had and he could not wait for her to become his wife.

Andrew and Janet were married at Zen downtown with their closest friends and family. The evening was not short of smiles, laughter, good food and lots of dancing!  Thank you guys so much for the honor of capturing your day as you became husband and wife. We had so much fun and we can’t wait to hear about your honeymoon to Hawaii later this summer!

Just to warn you… I had a really hard time narrowing down my favorites.  So, this post may be a little long :-)

Once Janet was ready we stepped outside for some portraits.

It did start drizzling so we found this PERFECT spot inside of Zen downtown.

The flowers by Greg Foster were amazing!

Lindsay had a picture of her celebrating like this with Janet from her wedding day so we just had to recreate!

Gosh… both of you are so wonderful and SO beautiful!

Janet!  You are stunning.

And then Andrew arrived looking all suave and debonair.

His brother Nick was an incredible support to Andrew all day.

Janet and Andrew asked for a picture of the two of them before the wedding without seeing each other.
So, as I was getting these shots…

Ben was getting this shot below… and I love it.

Andrew’s parents were so fun and had a blast the entire day!

And then it was time… :-)

Doesn’t Lindsay look GOOD in that purple???

And this is when I started to cry. So thankful for auto focus!

And at that same moment, Ben captured Andrew seeing his bride for the first time.
He couldn’t hold back the tears either.

My image on the left, Ben’s image on the right.

They were so excited! It was adorable to watch them catching glimpses of each other.

They were SO excited! They were married!!

You two… are just gorgeous.

Ben captured this image and it nearly took my breath away.
It also made me a little jealous that I didn’t get it :-)

Work it.

You guys…!  You’re just adorable together.

It was so hard to capture them without smiles on their faces.

The cake by Kathy & Company was gorgeous.  And delicious!

I’m also jealous of this shot that Ben captured of the cake through the flowers!

Cocktail hour consisted of fondue by Good Life Catering.

It was nothing short of incredible!

Being introduced for the first time as Mr. & Mrs!

I just love first dances.

Videography done by the wonderful Jeff Bennett of View Digital Media.

Father Daughter dances get me almost every time.

Clemson Grads!

Vandy Grads!

Dancing went on continuously thanks to music by Jumpin’ Jukebox!

Janet had emailed the ladies attending the wedding to encourage them to wear fun hats and fascinators.
The women took up the challenge and had some really fun head accessories!

We snuck out at sunset for some outside shots on Main Street.

And the sunset!  It was gorgeous!

A little more dancing…

A few more shots with Shutterbooth

The last dance…

And then the departure.

Congratulations again, you guys!

Our Wedding | Portraits

As I mentioned before, we did a First Look at our wedding and I talked about why it was so wonderful.  A First Look isn’t for everyone, but we loved it!  And today’s post sort of stems from that.  After we had our first look, we had another 45 minutes or so for pictures of us and with our wedding party.  45 minutes!  I was a little crazy with the timeline and allowing so much time, but Jana and Kim were so gracious and were up for anything (they’re amazing people and photographers like that!) :-)  So, enjoy some more of my favorites from our wedding day.

Don’t know if you can see the goose bumps but it was SOOOO cold!

My amazingly handsome groom :-)

I love everything about this picture.

So much of our relationship centers around downtown so
I knew I wanted even our wedding party pictures in town!

I have some amazingly beautiful friends and sisters…

I think Kim got this shot… My friend Melody and my bridesmaids put their bouquets together the morning of the wedding.  Yes, you read that right!

This picture is amazing and I love it!
Look at my brother back there with his sun glasses… :-)

I couldn’t have asked for better color on those trees!

Because of the time we allotted and the number of pictures we were able to get… there are at least 6 spreads worth of an album just with these pictures alone.  Maybe even more!

Happy Monday!

Our Wedding | Getting Ready & First Look

Today is the last day that I’ll be able to say, “Our wedding was the last one I went to!”  Wedding season officially starts today as I’m helping one of our own wedding photographers shoot a wedding this evening.  I’m so excited!  The next two weekends are weddings for friends and I’m beyond excited.

So, in honor of wedding season beginning, I wanted to share some of our wedding photos.  So many people have been incredibly patient as the last four months have been crazy busy.  There are so many amazing images!  So, I think sharing them in small doses is going to be my best method :-)

Jana Candler came to my house the morning of the wedding as I was getting ready with my maid and matron of honor and my mom.  Kim DeLoach went to the church to photograph Ben and the guys getting ready.  The coolest part about seeing all of these images together is seeing what Ben was doing as I was getting ready!

The most handsome groom ever…!

And then, before I knew it, it was time for our First Look.  I’ve talked about this before, but I can not say enough about how wonderful a First Look is.  We scheduled it in and scheduled all pictures to be taken before the ceremony.  When I got to the spot where I was meeting Ben, I was shaking from excitement (plus, it was FREEzing).  I walked over to him, put my hand on his shoulder, and he turned around to see me for the first time.  We were able to hug and kiss and talk, just the two of us (and a small entourage instead of 250 guests).  And the number of portraits we were able to get… WOW!  I’m only sharing ones in this post from the actual first look, but I would bet that since we had 45 minutes of “just us” time, we have at least 6 pages or so worth of album pictures!!  I love it.

And I know what some of you are thinking… but walking down the aisle was still just as special.  I wasn’t just tearing up from the moment… tears were POURING from my eyes as I walked down the aisle.  And Ben was at the end of the aisle watching me and trying to hold himself together.  The pictures of him watching me walk towards him are so precious and so genuine.  The look on his face is one of the sweetest memories I’ll ever have.

I was a little excited when we left the house :-)
It’s also pretty great to have two photographers for the different perspectives.
I’m tearing up just looking at these again.
I love these…
This is one of my favorites!
Like I said, it was FREEzing so he was trying to warm up my hand :-)
There are so many more images to share… thank you again for bearing with me as we find moments here and there to post these!

Happy Friday!
