It makes me tear up thinking of how long ago this plan started… when and how I first met Stephanie; how I met Ben; how we led a group of high school girls together; when she met Joe; how we met each week in her bonus room at 6:30am for two years to pray for each other, the other girls that met with us, our church, our world and anything else that God put before us.
Eventually some of those prayers turned into ones for a baby for Joe and Steph. And we prayed for a long time for this sweet baby. We didn’t know what God had in mind, but we knew that His plan was good. And these two never lost sight of that.
So imagine my shear joy and utter delight when we ran into them one evening at dinner and she told me the news… she was 7 weeks pregnant. I squealed and then I cried tears of excitement and thankfulness right there in the middle of the restaurant! God is good.
Sweet little Harper is due early February and I am so excited to meet her that I can barely stand it! Joe and Steph, you guys are going to be such incredible parents. And selfishly, I’m glad that Catherine will have a little girl to play with since, currently, all of her friends her age are boys ;-)
You two are so loved by so many and I’m just thankful to be able to share in this time of your lives with you!
I don’t remember what I said, but Stephanie was trying to give me “a look”… instead she looks like one hot mama!!
The sun kept darting in and out from behind the clouds… but this shot right here? This light? It’s exactly why I’ve been so anxious and excited to photograph sessions in our back yard!! That’s right friends, these were all taken at our house. We had it cleared out several months ago, but the rain has kept it a swamp until just recently… #happyphotographer!
Oh how I love her laugh! And I know Harper will love it too :-)
Steph, this may be my favorite…
But these were some of my favorites too! Isn’t she stunning in that blue dress??
For this child I prayed, and the LORD has granted me my petition that I made to him.
