A Parisian Calendar

When I first went to France in 2009 for photography reasons (even though I never thought that would actually happen!), I came home with SO many photos.  My grandparents had funded that trip for me as part of my 30th birthday gift so when I was back home and had sorted through all the images, I asked my grandma if she’d like a large print of her favorite image.  I thought it would be a perfect gift to have hanging on her wall.  But instead, she asked me for a calendar to enjoy the images throughout the whole year :-)

Before Ben and I went to Paris last fall, my mom had asked us to get her a calendar or two while we were there.  She wanted one of impressionists paintings and one of Paris… the only thing was that I couldn’t find one that wasn’t your typical “tourist kind of photos” calendar.  So, I decided to make her a calendar of my own photos after we returned home.  Easy solution!  Especially since it turned into one of her Christmas gifts!

Artifact Uprising is one of my favorite companies.  The quality of their products is top notch and their customer service is wonderful.  Two things everyone should look for with ANY kind of business and that every business should strive for.  So yes, you should check them out :-)

Here’s the calendar I landed on for my mom for Christmas.  Each page/month is made of 120lb Mohawk Superfine Eggshell cardstock.  It’s just… lovely!  It actually comes with a clipboard that you can attach to your fridge (or other metallic object).  Each month is 5×7 inches so it’s small for a calendar, but it’s the perfect beautiful accessory to personalize your space. (Believe it or not, I’m not getting paid to say any of this… I just really like this company!)

And so that you can see all the images I decided to use for the calendar, I thought I’d include them in this post.  Plus, it gets me another step closer to sharing the photos we took on our trip in the fall!
