Y’all would not believe how difficult it is to pick just a few favorites from each wedding. It was hard enough to choose just one for the 2014 Canvas Contest, but this one was almost more difficult because I knew I wanted to post more than one!
It was such an amazing reminder though of how blessed we are to do something we love, to work with people who love each other, and to have travelled as much as we did this year for these weddings. Thank you all SO MUCH for allowing Ben and I to capture your weddings this year!
I’m still in awe that we began the year with a dream winter wedding… complete with snow!
I love being a southern wedding photographer because that means several of my brides each year opt to have bridal portraits taken! It gives them an extra chance to put on their wedding dress (as well as have a dry-run with hair and makeup) and it gives me some extra time to hang out with my brides! I love it!
Gah! Ashley, you are gorgeous!
I could have photographed amongst this Spanish moss ALL DAY for Emily and Adam’s St. Simon’s wedding!
Sometimes, my husband gets better shots than I do. And it makes me really proud and jealous all at once! :-)
Katie and David had a short engagement (like we did!) and between first meeting with her, their engagement session, her bridals and their wedding, I got to see her a LOT during the first part of this year! I think I’m still going through withdrawals of not getting to see her. Especially since they moved up north after their wedding!
Katie has the BEST smile!
A full rainbow on your wedding day? Totally makes the rain worth it.
I used to be afraid of the light when going to a session… and now I get all giddy when we find spots like this!
These COLORS! Thanks to photographing weddings, I now actually like the color pink. This photo should be proof enough that it’s a great color!
These two… I’m pretty sure they laughed and danced the ENTIRE day!
So in love with this…
And y’all know how much we love Charleston weddings…!
Loved ending the year with this couple… and getting to end this post with this shot of them moments after becoming husband and wife!
